Dr. Rajan Mahtani is once again in the news with the courtesy of Zambia Reports. It appears that the infamous news portal has been constantly trying to misguide people and develop a negative mind set against the name – Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani. In the past as well there has been numerous claims where the conspirators have been caught red-handed. This time around, the same hasn’t changed.

Simataa Simataa, a well-known self-proclaimed banker has won a case in the Lusaka High Court under suspicious grounds and the event was taken as a subject for sponsoring a new defamatory article. ZR goes to the extent of claiming that it is a habit of Dr. Rajan Mahtani to engage people in contracts and then bind them under legal consequences to have the properties under his control. Nevertheless, it has failed to show the true face of Simataa Simataa. After being removed from Finance Bank almost a decade back, the same person has failed to secure a job elsewhere. Now how can someone expect that an expert banker would remain jobless for the next 10 years. When it comes to reality, it is being conveyed that Simataa doesn’t even hold a Grade XII certificate. This is why he was forced to change the topic when he was interviewed the last time.

As time goes on, the conspirators are facing a tough time in finding areas where they can defame Dr. Rajan Mahtani. Over the years, Finance Bank of Zambia were their prime target, but with time the same has shifted to other entities as well. Last month, Finsbury Investment was targeted and one never knows when entities such as Radisson Blu and Mahtani Group of Companies can also become a topic of discussion for them. Meanwhile, the officials are busy ignoring this shameful incident.

It has almost been a month since the dreadful article was published by Zambia Reports. What initially started as an initiative to diverge the attention of the former Finance Bank Chairman has now become an alarming affair in Zambia. The campaign is growing with every passing day and the guts of the conspirators are reaching new heights. The latest from them went to the extent of claiming that Panama Papers hosted the name of Finsbury Investments.

Though the article’s fame was short-lived, it did create a confusion in the minds of the locals. And perhaps this is what the conspirators want. They are constantly engaged in activities that are more related to defamation of Dr. Mahtani & Zambia, rather than working for Zambia’s development. What enhances the concern is that the conspirators have gone quiet after the publication and it is expected that they will once again come up some weird claim to defame Dr. Rajan Mahtani.

Whenever a defamatory article is published in Zambia Reports, it not only hurts Dr. Mahtani, but also defamed the whole of Zambia. A news channel is never expected to accept donation and do favours for people. Hosting a newspaper is more about bringing out the truth and letting the world know about the inside story of Zambia. But here we find that Dr. Mahtani & Zambia are being blamed and the actual conspirators are being praised. Is this the power of money? Has Zambia Reports lost all its sanity? Sakwiba Sikota is the operator of ZR and it is obvious from his actions that he prefers the Ventriglias. After all, who can forget that the mansion in which Saki likes to enjoy his time came from the free supply of cement ‘gifted’ by the Ventriglias. But the questions is, for how long will this nuisance continue to haunt Zambia?

The Mafias of Zambezi Portland Cement or more commonly known as the Ventriglia family have once again used cheap tactics to defame Finsbury Investment and Dr. Rajan Mahtani. A piece of information which was present in the Panama Papers has been depicted in the wrong way with a desperate attempt to mislead the people of Zambia. The claim was made by Zambia Reports and as usual everything was done under the consent of Sakwiba Sikota.

It is utterly sad to see how a qualified lawyer can low down his self-esteem to such a level where he cannot distinguish between the right and the wrong. Knowing the fact that the mentioned organization belonged to a different entity didn’t stop ZR to come up with such shameless claim. The name Finsbury Investment is not meant to be used only once. There are thousands of business enterprises who have kept this name and have been operating over the years. This doesn’t imply that every institute by the name of Finsbury Investments is connected to Zambia or Dr. Rajan Mahtani.

In the past, there has been incidents where ZR has made false claims, but this incident has clearly indicated that the conspirators have desperate to get themselves noticed. They never had the audacity to come out in public and make a claim. All that they have done is to take up pseudo names, write up stories, post them in Zambia Reports and enjoy the chaos. Once the chaos has been dismissed by respective authorities, they go back to the dark corners of their room. Within the next few days they will again come back with some more imaginative stories. Needless to say, the Government has been trying to keep itself as away as possible from this matter because some of the officials are too busy counting notes.

From the action of the conspirators, it has become evident that they are looking for nothing expect defamation of Dr. Rajan Mahtani. Their end-objective is clear to them and irrespective of what the circumstances may be, they will try and achieve their target by the end of the day. A recent incident highlighted the fact that Finsbury Investment has been named in the Panama Papers and Dr. Rajan Mahtani will face criminal investigation.

However, the truth is far from what has been portrayed by Zambia Reports. Upon making an enquiry It was learnt that the company whose name was mentioned in Panama Papers is indeed Finsbury Investment, but does not belongs to the one which is in Zambia. The name ‘Finsbury Investment’ is not meant to be used by Dr. Rajan Mahtani only. The name is currently being used by thousands of company worldwide. This doesn’t mean that any company who shares the same name as Finsbury Investment would be held liable. They say, old habits die hard. In the present context, the conspirators cannot help themselves but to make weird claims and get the attention of Zambian people for a minute or two.

The truth is that the mentioned company is owned by Semely Conseil & Gestion SA. Neither the owners, nor any part of the entity has got to do anything with Dr. Rajan Mahtani. The only similarities between the parties is that their organization’s name is same. In the past as well, the conspirators have managed to create confusion in Zambia with their series of imaginative stories and this time around, they are again trying to do the same. Though their publication has already started to receive rejection form the locals, the Government has preferred to keep itself away from this matter and continue with the ignorance.
