Foreign Investment Limited (FIN) and Forbes once again came together to conduct one of the most famous and anticipated business events in Zambia. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, a noted businessman and philanthropist from Zambia, was part of this business event. This business event was FIN philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference. It is an international-level conference which is being held annually across Africa, inviting visionaries and leaders to discuss about the role of philanthropy and leadership in the growth and development of the African nation. Apart from that, the roundtable conference also provides a platform for collecting financial funding and support from investors and businesses for numerous ongoing and potential projects across Africa. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was the only businessman invited from Zambia as a honourable speaker during the event. Unlike the usual process, this year’s roundtable conference was held online as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic wherein participants and speakers took part in the event from their respective locations. Dr. Rajan Mahtani attended the event from his office. He spoke about the importance of leadership in healthcare and gave thrust to political leadership for the growth and development of the healthcare sector across the nation as well as the entire continent.
Another major reason this event is much anticipated and looked upon by analysts and businesses is the addition of the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards ceremony. Conducted by both Forbes and FIN (Foreign Investment Limited), the award category is among the most famous corporate awards across the entire continent. Apart from the fact that the awards come from Forbes which is one of the most renowned international business magazine, the awards hold special significance as the selection process of the awardees is extremely rigorous and transparent. The process involves months of verification, background checks as well as interviews with the potential awardees to understand their knowledge, vision and plans towards the philanthropic and leadership achievement.

Based on this evaluation and selection criteria, Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was awarded with the Forbes ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ award 2021 for redefining the banking sector of Zambia.
