It has become a perpetual habit of the conspirators to take up any matter and then link it to Dr. Mahtani & Zambia. Just because Panama Papers were in the news, they took up an opportunity to harass Dr. Mahtani by stating that his name was also involved in the paper. They further decided to fool people by stating that the name of Finsbury Investment was also mentioned in the paper.

Upon investigation, it was learnt that organization which was named as Finsbury Investment belonged to a group named as Semely Conseil & Gestion SA. These people have got nothing to do with Dr. Rajan Mahtani and it is only for the similarity of the company name that Zambia Reports has been making this ridiculous claim. To make things genuine, ZR is also showcasing the picture of Dr. Rajan Mahtani walking with a briefcase. The incident has been stated as the moment when Dr. Mahtani visited his lawyer in this regard.

From what Zambia Reports is trying to suggest, it has become evident that there is nothing genuine about their publication. All that they want is to make money with such defamation campaign. The operator of Zambia Reports, Sakwiba Sikota is himself a lawyer and has ignored the fact that the mentioned company was also struck off from the list in August 1999. On the other hand, the organization that belongs to Dr. Rajan Mahtani is currently active and holding the majority of shares for Portland Cement Zambia.

The lands that once used to be full of opportunities has certainly lost its way. The conspirators are the primary reason behind this cause. Over the years, they have constantly tried to disturb the peace of Zambia and have fooled people with their series of malicious stories against Dr. Mahtani & Zambia. So, for how long will this nuisance run?

The news of merger between BancABC and Finance Bank has come as a relieve for many. The rumours spread by the conspirators were such that people were eventually made to believe that there was something wrong with the deal and hence, the merger was not taking place. However, with time the truth has surfaced and the people are finally aware of the fact that FBZ is now merged with BancABC.

The joint account of FBZ and BancABC reflects the traits of a large commercial bank which is ready to take care of the financing issue in Zambia. The accumulated account of assets stands at $ 567 million, where the total number of ATMs spread in the country is now 176. With such bug numbers, it is obvious that the merger has come in form of a blessing from the heaven.

Another question that remains unanswered is the about the future course of action. For people who think that this is the end of the Dr. Mahtani’s plan, they should learn that there are numerous immediate objectives in his hand. The first being the completion of bio-ethanol plant. The plant is being setup in Luapula Province and is in partnership with the UK Giant, Sunbird group. Another area of concern is the poor condition of Portland Cement Zambia.

The plant has been abused by the Italian Mafias and has reached a level where the production has been halted. There are hardly any workers in the factory and the pool of resources has been depleted and stolen. Given such pathetic condition of a thriving plant, it is obvious that the Chairman of Mahtani Group of Companies would be looking forward to take this matter seriously and preserve the interest of his fellow citizens. Zambia is about to witness some big chances very soon.

It has often been regarded that parents are the strength of every child. No matter how big the challenge is, parents are always ready to support their child and pray for their success. Today, Mrs Mohnibhai Lekhraj Mahtani is no longer with us and her absence is being felt by almost everyone in Zambia. However, one factor that remains undisguised is the next challenge for Dr. Mahtani & Zambia. After losing his mother, Dr. Mahtani would now be facing the conspiracy for the Ventriglia family and Zambia Reports all alone. Needless to say, the blessing of his mother would be always there.

In an event which can only be described as an pathetic attempt to defame Dr. Mahtani & Zambia, it has been seen that the minority stakeholders of ZPC are trying to influence the opinion of the general population. They are continuously trying to publish malign content every month and then distribute the same with the aid of Zambia Reports. Trusted sources have also revealed that the conspirators once tried to force changes in PACRA’s register without obtaining an approval from the Court.

Given their shameless attitude and poor thinking towards Zambia, it has become evident that they are playing a game where they have nothing to lose. Hence, making the challenge stiffer for Dr. Mahtani & Zambia.  The conspirators are least bothered about the impact that their articles make on Zambia, rather they are only concerned about publishing articles which will create disturbances and mislead the common people. The need of the hour is to ensure that the conspirators are silenced forever. Else they will continue to trouble everyone, irrespective of knowing the fact that the victim has lost someone who was very close to him.

The last publication of the conspirators under Zambia Reports on May 21 2016 was heavily criticized.

A heart breaking news shook Zambia on June 15 2016 when it was learnt that the mother of Dr. Rajan Mahtani, Mrs. Mohnibhai Lekhraj Mahtani passed away in UK. The 90-year old philanthropist was not only an inspiration for the former Finance Bank Chairman, but had also served the community through charity programs and aiding the poor. The news of her demise has resulted in widespread mourning in Zambia.

A life which revolved around serving the society was lived with honour and Zambia considers itself to be lucky to have such a lady who knew no religion, no race, no caste and always stood up for humanity. Even personalities like Deputy Governor and the First President of Zambia, Kenneth D Kaunda have expressed sorrow.

However, the show must go on for Zambia. Time and tide waits for none. There are hardships and Zambians should overcome them at one point or the other. Even though Mrs. Mohnibhai Lekhraj Mahtani is not physically present with us, she will always be there in our hearts. She has been a source of inspiration and has lead by an example for empowered of women in Zambia. Gracious as ever, she has always succeeded in guiding people towards a better way of life. No matter how many times Zambia has been struck by issues as corruption, forgery and other form of crimes, she has always come out and helped people to regain confidence and continue to work for a better cause. Her contribution may not be written in the History books, but people who had the privilege to meet her would realize the influence that she has. She was not only the mother of Dr. Rajan Mahtani, but also a mother to the whole nation. Zambia may have lost a mother, but her blessing will always be with us.

The Zambezi Portland Cement factory has been one of the most prestigious factories in Ndola. However, with the battle for ownership, the factory has lost its position in the market and the production line stays suspended since December 2015. A request for liquidation which was put up in May 2015 has neither been considered by the Ventriglia family, nor has the judicial system acknowledged it.

On one hand, the Ventriglias are looking forward to loot as much as they can from the Zambezi Portland Cement and on the other hand, the judicial system of Zambia has remained unsure about the actual owner of the factory and hence, has refused to appoint an official liquidator of the factory. In the end, it has been observed that the minority shareholders are taking prime advantage of this situation by creating dummy companies and shifting the assets from Zambezi Portland Cement to other companies. The loss of resource and opportunity in the past one year has been mammoth. The existing trucks of the factory has been shifted to dummy companies, whereas the title deeds have been duplicated and fabricated for the purpose of leasing them out to Astrea Investment, which is again a company owned by the Ventriglia family.

The present situation in Ndola is such that the nation’s resource is constantly been depleted and people are being made fools. There is nothing that an ordinary man can do apart from watching the carnage which is being caused by the actions of Zambia Reports, the Ventriglia family and Sakwiba Sikota. Corruption in Zambia has reached such a level where few powerful people are constantly trying to loot the resources and derived personal gains. It is the poor people and the nation who have become sufferers.

After being silent for almost a month, the conspirators are once again back into business with a defamatory article on Dr. Rajan Mahtani. As per the latest publication of Zambia Reports, the author of the article, Evans Mulenga, claims that Dr. Mahtani has failed in an attempt to have ZPC (Zambezi Portland Cement) back into his custody. The article further claims that Justice F. Chishimba has rejected Dr. Rajan Mahtani’s claim to have the cement factory taken back from the hands of Ital Terrazzo Limited.

Any reader would first of all realize the fact that the title of the article is itself misleading. How can a person take back something which already belongs to a concerned entity. It has never been claimed or said that Dr. Mahtani is the owner of the Zambezi Portland Cement, rather it is Finsbury Investments who owns ZPC. In the second place, the official records with PACRA is an evident proof that Finsbury Investment holds 58% shares of the factory and as a result, is already holding the ownership of the factory. Ital Terrazzo Limited has been the minority shareholder of the factory with 42% share of the factory and will continue to hold the same. Under no context, can it be regarded that ITL is the actual owner of the factory and would be able to have complete ownership of the factory.

As far as the discussion of share transfer is concerned, it is evident from the High Court Judgement in 2012 that Dr. Rajan Mahtani had not forged any signatures to have the ownership of the factory. Rather, it was a mutual arrangement during the inception period and the same shall continue to prevail until both the parties make a mutual agreement to change the same. The whole arrangement is nothing except for a well-planned conspiracy by the Ventriglia family and Zambia Reports to defame Dr. Rajan Mahtani.

Over and over again, we have found that Rajan Mahtani is being dragged into conspiracy and the culprits are making a narrow escape after creating a havoc. May it be the false allegation of accusing Dr. Mahtani of funding political parties, or claiming that the Radisson Blu will soon be sold to someone else. Every time they had only one aspect in mind and that is defamation for Rajan Mahtani.

Internal sources have suggested that the defamation campaign is linked to the fight for Portland Cement Zambia. They have not only managed to draw the attention of the locals from the inhumane conditions of the factory, but have also tired their level best to show that Finsbury Investments had previously obtained the control of the factory through forgery. Such cunning plans recently came to an end when the official documents made their way out for public display.

As per the official document, it was seen that the original profit sharing ratio was 58% and 42% for Finsbury Investments & Ital Terrazzo Limited. But the same has always been contested by the Ventriglia family, the owner of Ital Terrazzo Limited. Further analysis of the document states that both the parties were once good companions and financier Dr. Rajan Mahtani was requested by the Ventriglias to lend his support to this project. Nevertheless, once good profit started to flow in, their friendship was lost and a series of defamation began on the former Finance Bank Chairman. At the moment, Ventriglia family is using Zambia Reports and Sakwiba Sikota to defame Rajan Mahtani and get him out of the equation so that the whole factory can come under their control.

Zambia has been constantly trying to reach greater heights of success, but it is the actions of some people which is constantly serving as a hindrance in the route.
