The fight for Portland Cement Zambia has been continuing for almost a decade now. Finsbury Investments, the registered owners of the premise with a stake of 58% is finding it hard to sustain its activities as the Ventriglia family, the registered minority shareholder of the premise with a stake of 42% is looking forward to takeover the management and its powers.

With the passage of time, it has become evident that the Italian Mafias as only interested in the wealth of Portland Cement Zambia. A factory which generates about US $ 5 million on a monthly basis is an ideal playground for the Mafias as they would be able to facilitate their lavish lifestyle from the same. With least consideration for employees and betterment, the factory has become a place where corruption breeds.

In 2014, the Portland Cement Zambia reached its peak under Finsbury Investments by reaching an output of about 4, 70, 000 tonnes in a single calendar year. The profits were touching new heights and the employees were working with a motivated heart. Sadly, in April 2015, the Ventriglia family made a comeback and took over the premise. Since then it has been an affair of mismanagement and oppression.

PACRA has declared that the actual owners of Portland Cement Zambia is Finsbury Investments and the same has also been honoured by the Lusaka High Court. Nevertheless, the Ventriglias refuse to believe the same and continues to claim that they are the actual owners of the factory. In such respect, the questions is- for how long will this nuisance continue? The conspirators have continued to commit crime and they have got away most of the times. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was become a victim of their conspiracy and the Government has done nothing to safeguard his interest. He fights the battle like a lone soldier.

We have often seen people taking advantage of a noble person. In Zambia, the story of Dr. Rajan Mahtani and the Ventriglia family is no different. For almost a decade, the Italian Mafias have continuously troubled the former Chairman Finance Bank, Zambia with regard to the ownership of Portland Cement Zambia. They have constantly troubled everyone with their lie that Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani had copied signatures in the share transfer documents to steal the ownership of ZPC. Nevertheless, they have never been able to prove their lie and have lost the same case twice.

How can the Ventriglias lose the same case twice?

The Ventriglias decided to take the case to the court in 2012, where upon evidence and arguments it was declared that Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was innocent and the matter shall not arise in the future. Nevertheless, the Italian Mafias resorted to the means of bribery and corruption to have this case reopened in June 2015. With the help of Attorney General and acting DPP, the Ventriglias got the case reopened and took another shot on the case. This time around, the Lusaka High Court Judge, Mwiinde Siavwapa concluded that a closed case cannot be reopened or reconsidered because presenting a different judgement than to what has been given by the earlier judge would mean disrespecting his seat.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani is, once again, a free man and the conspirators need to understand the fact that lies is cannot be used as an effective means to satisfy the hunger for money. The land of Zambia is pure and it is leaders like Dr. Mahtani who have taken the initiative to help his fellow brothers through creating offering employment opportunities in development projects. Conspiracy will soon meet its end and the people of Zambia will find a new hope under Zambezi Portland Cement Factory.

The Mahtani Group of Companies has recently confirmed that it is working along with the Sunbird Group of UK to setup a bio-ethanol plant in Luapula. The plant is expected to start with its initial program from November 2015 and will be serving as an integral unit in Luapula to create employment opportunities.

One of the close personnel of Mahtani Group of Companies comments, “The bio-ethanol plant is a vision which was laid by Dr. Rajan Mahtani. He always wanted to do something for his fellow citizens and by God’s grace, he has successfully accomplished most of his projects. This plant involves an investment of USD $150 million for the setup and financing would be done by the Mahtani Group of Companies and the Sunbird Group of United Kingdom.

Mahtani Group of Companies has always been a key contributor in development projects. Over the years, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has led from the front and has contributed to numerous projects. Setting up a bio-ethanol plant in Luapula province means more employment opportunities for the locals and flourishing of ancillary businesses as well.

Edward, a resident of Luapula province comments, “Dr. Rajan Mahtani is like an elder brother to me. Over the years, the Government hasn’t done anything for us, but he is the one who took the initiative of giving us a chance. I have heard that there will be about 2, 000 worker’s requirements in the factory. I hope I am one of them.”

The Mahtani Group of Companies has set a new dimension for the locals. People would not only be employed directly, but indirect employment will also give a chance to 5, 000 workers. In such context. It wouldn’t be wrong to suggest that the Luapula province will soon be among the developed zones in Africa. The patience has finally rewarded the locals.

Recently, Zambia Reports have circulated a fabricated story where it is being claimed that the Executive Chairman of Mahtani Group of Companies, Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is looking forward to takeover NCZ Ltd. The article talks about how the Finance Bank of Zambia has intentionally offered a loan to Nitrogen Chemicals of Zambia Ltd., with a view to trap the borrower in a debt trap and then takeover the whole factory.

In reality, the scenario is completely different! No loan has been forwarded to the NCZ and Finance Bank is totally unaware of the claim which is being made by Zambia Reports. As a matter of fact, the authors of Zambia Reports live in a world of hallucination where they frame a storyline and see Dr. Mahtani as a villain.

Any person who is educated enough to understand banking regulations will realize that a bank cannot enforce foreclosure on a property unless it has been used as a collateral security against a loan. In the present case, there is no loan business between the two parties and hence, taking over the collateral security is a far story.

It has become a habit of Zambia Reports to publish contents which specifically targets Dr. Rajan Mahtani. The primary intent is to defame the former Finance Bank Chairman and to draw the attention of the African public. However, in recent times ZR has faced a serious boycott against its articles. Most of its articles are filled with unpleasant comments which comes from the locals and people who have been closely associated with the incidents which ZR is trying to fabricate and present. It certainly has become a case where their action is backfiring against them. Still, the conspirators have not learnt from their mistakes and are continuing with their hideous campaign.

Zambia Reports is operated by Sakwiba Sikota in Zambia and funded by the Ventriglia family to write against Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani.

Zambia is currently covered under the dark clouds of conspiracy as the conspirators are continuously trying to defame the former Finance Bank Chairman and mock the legal system of Zambia. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is the voice which has managed to get itself heard amongst a million cries. A fearless businessman has managed to challenge the defamation which is being currently run by the Italian Mafias, the Ventriglia family.

The story has been presented in such a manner that people are made to believe that Dr. Rajan Mahtani is actually looking forward to commit this hideous act of takeover through a loan. However, the truth in such regard is it is not Dr. Rajan Mahtani who has forwarded the loan, but imagination of the writer at Zambia Reports. They have simply ventilated their jealousy for Dr. Mahtani as their masters are unable accomplish their objective of spreading corruption in Zambia. This is an exclusive example of how the Zambian Government is allowing corruption to breed by overlooking such poor journalism.

One should not forget the fact that the reason for this defamation campaign is actually the Zambezi Portland Cement factory, where the suffering party is an integral part and the conspirators are the minority shareholders. Their greed for more money has made them monsters and Zambia is currently under their dark clouds of fabricated stories. Nevertheless, the people do believe in the ability of Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani and the judicial system, who would once again restore the sunshine of truth and justice in Zambia.

One day Zambia will definitely see a beautiful day where the sunshine of truth will shine above all.

It has been six months since the Dr. Rajan Mahtani has not participated in the management of Portland Cement Zambia. During this tenure, PCZ has witnessed its worst phase as the production level has fallen along with heavy losses. Under the management of the Ventriglia family, it has become extremely difficult for the workers to work as salary is rare and employee abuse is in abundance.

A factory whose monthly potential was to generate USD $ 5 million is now a place of mismanagement and poor output. The Ventriglias have only managed to fill up their pockets and used the funds of Porland Cement Zambia to bribe officials and fund news portal. In return, the officials and the news portals continue with their task of assassinating the character of Dr. Rajan Mahtani. In this way, the conspirators are able to keep Dr. Mahtani away from the pending case which is presently due at the High Court.

Portland Cement Zambia needs a leader, not a cheater

Portland Cement Zambia has always looked for a leader. A person who has a vision to take this factory to a whole new level and enhance its productivity to generate more profits. But at the moment, the factory is in the hands of some greedy people whose objective is to loot the factory for as long as the decision of the High Court is pending. The workers are being fired from the factory because the Ventriglias consider them to be redundant and most importantly, there is hardly any sight of development which is taking place within the premise of Portland Cement Zambia.

Under the leadership of Dr. Rajan Mahtani, Portland Cement Zambia registered its highest output in 2014 by producing more than 1, 00, 000 tonnes of cement in excess. At the moment, the golden days look like a dream!

The former Finance Bank Chairman Dr. Rajan Mahtani has once again become a subject for Zambia Reports’ author. This time around the news portal has claimed that Dr. Mahtani was involved in funding United Party for National Development (UPND) during the elections along with creating chaos during the procession. But since, the story was imaginative it had to involve certain loopholes.

As per the statement issued by the author of the article, claims involving a financial support of K 200, 000 to the UPDN party for election campaign along with offering six Toyota Pajaro cars for the cadres create a havoc at the election booth are being made. However, when one carefully looks into this matter, the person will realize that there is no such car by the name of Toyota Pajaro. Moreover, one should also understand that a businessman has nothing to do with politics. He is least bothered in entering the political world and dedicated towards developing the Mahtani Group of Companies.

This is not the first time that the former Finance Bank Chairman Dr. Rajan Mahtani has been drawn into a political issue. On numerous occasions Zambia Reports has tried to relate Dr. Mahtani to a political party in order to disrupt his concentration. Just few months back they had claimed that Dr. Rajan Mahtani was a part of Cartel and now they are claiming that he has funded UPND’s election campaign. In reality, Zambia Reports, Sakwiba Sikota and the Ventriglias are the new cartel and they are trying their level best to pull off Dr. Mahtani from the scene as he is an integral part of Zambezi Portland Cement Factory. The Ventriglias took over the factory on April 7, 2015 with the aid of bandit goons. Since then, they have looted the factory along with ill-treating the workers and promoting corruption.
