A news was posted in Zambia Reports, the tabloid of Zambia, on February 15, 2014, that “BOZ Vice Chairman Allegedly Removed at Mahtani’s Request.” Rajan Mahtani was not involved in removing the senior official at the nation’s central bank. He did not request  Michael Sata, the President of Zambia, to fire the Vice Chairman of BoZ. It is a completely false news.

The Deputy Chairman of the Board of BoZ, Dr. Kasuka Mutukwa, wasn’t removed from his post at Dr. Mahtani’s request to the Zambian President. According to a genuine source in Zambia, Dr. Mahtani’s name came up because some people wanted his name to be highlighted in the news.  This is the work of Antonio Ventriglia, Evans Mulenga and Dickenson Jere-the people who are involved in tarnishing Mahtani’s image in Zambia.

The news that’s posted in Zambia Reports is entirely a concocted story. It is true that Dr. Mahtani’s opponents have their bank accounts in Access Bank but he did not ask Dr. Mutukwa to strip the license of the bank. In fact, why would he ask Dr. Mutukwa to do so when he knows that the magistrate’s court is Ndola had already restrained the ex-MD’s of Zambezi Portland Cement from accessing their properties in Ndola and their joint account 0040241102851 at Access Bank. Moreover, until the investigations are complete, the Ventriglias won’t be allowed to access their joint account at Access Bank.

For the last few months, many false allegations against Dr. Rajan Mahtani pertaining to BoZ and Zambezi Portland Cement came up. This is just one of them.
