Rajan Mahtani, a name which was previously associated as Chairman Finance Bank Zambia is currently witnessing a defamation campaign that is being run against his own name. The incident came to light when Zambia Reports started firing one article after the other with various assumptions and irregularities with the truth. The end-objective of ZR’s action is to create a scenario whereby Rajan Mahtani can be defamed and the innocent people of Zambia can be fooled with another set of well scripted stories.
Earlier the fight for Portland Cement Zambia took an ugly turn when the owners of Ital Terrazzo Limited made a secret comeback in Zambia and took over the Ndola-based cement plant during the early hours of 7th April. Since then the conspirators had easy access to the factory cash box and the money has been misused to the utmost level. Some flew into offshore accounts whereas some was used to buy media houses such as Zambia Reports to run the defamation campaign. When one looks at the series of incidents, it is evident that Zambia Reports has got full liberty to write whatever it wants. In spite of several warnings from the well-wishers and legal representatives of Rajan Mahtani, the news portal continues to operate in its regular way- thanks to the money power of the Ventriglia family!
Rajan Mahtani is a well-respected businessman in Zambia and has contributed to numerous development projects. However, the attack that he has been facing from the conspirators is affecting his quality of work. This is why he had previously stepped down as the Chairman Finance Bank Zambia and then decided to merge the same with BancABC to create the largest commercial bank in Zambia. An upset that continues to haunt Zambia is that the Government has kept itself aloof from this matter and has been silently watching the chaos.
