Portland Cement Zambia has a story to tell

The Ndola-based cement plant, Portland Cement Zambia has a story to tell that Zambian needs to hear. Recently, all must have come across the news that the Portland Cement Zambia has won the award for being the best employer this year. However, there are certain questions that are required to be answered and justified.

Portland Cement Zambia

In the first place. The Portland Cement Zambia has been facing severe monetary crisis as the business has dried up. This was perhaps one of the core reasons when the new management had decided to lay off 47 workers in one go. The step was taken at the sole discretion of the Ventriglia family and the Labour Union was also unaware of this step. The impact of this news was that the workers of the factory were suddenly finding themselves out of job and then they had families to feed.

Secondly, it was informed that the management of the factory were transferring the factory assets to third party companies which were indirectly owned by them. This step clearly indicates that even though they lose the factory, they will have indirect control over it. The step was taken soon after the Ventriglia family learnt that PACRA still considered Finsbury Investments as the real owner of the factory.

These above-mentioned incidents clearly indicate that the conspirators are just trying to life up the morale of the locals by publishing an ambiguous story. Moreover, it has been seen that Antonio Ventriglia has been missing Court session intentionally. It was on three continuous occasion that Mr. Ventriglia had skipped the hearing and then a certificate of poor health was finished as an excuse. In the recent most case, Mr and Mrs. Ventriglia, both, were asked to be present in the Court from 27th to 30th September, 2016. And as usual, they were seen leaving the country on 21st September 2016.
