Dr. Mahtani & Zambia have been witnessing a serious defamation campaign from Zambia Reports for almost a decade now. It has become a habit of the infamous news channel to publish articles on a monthly basis that is purely based on maligning efforts. The core ingredient remains constant with the objective of blaming Dr. Rajan Mahtani and the story is taken from a recent event.

The latest case has been of Lamasat case where the borrower, Lamasat, has been requested to clear the loan repayment by BancABC. The loan was actually forwarded by Finance Bank and since the bank was taken over by BancABC in 2016, all decisions are now being taken by the new management. In this story, Zambia Reports found an opportunity to drag Dr. Mahtani & Zambia. According to their publication, Dr. Mahtani is still operating Finance Bank Zambia and that too from within. Now the question is – had Dr. Mahtani wanted to continue with FBZ’s operation then he would have never sold it to BancABC.

The attempt made by Zambia Reports is simply cheap and unethical. In no way can a person trust Zambia Reports. It has become an advertisement channel where anyone can come and share their story. The only requirement is to make the required payment. Sakwiba Sikota, the operator of Zambia Reports also shares a very good relation with the minority shareholders of Portland Cement Zambia, the Ventriglia family. The bond is so strong that Saki was offered free supply of cement from the factory to build his dream mansion.

Nevertheless, the actions of Zambia Reports are hurting Dr. Mahtani & Zambia. The level of journalism that ZR is maintaining at the moment is putting Zambia to shame as more and more people are realizing the true intent of the money-hungry channel of Sakwiba Sikota.
