Zambia Reports has crossed every single limit in the past few years. They have not only tried to defame Dr. Rajan Mahtani, but have also fabricated original documents with a view produce an evidence which convicts Dr. Mahtani as a criminal. Since the news portal is heavily funded by the Ventriglia family (Italian Mafia), they leave no opportunities to make a story of every incident which takes place in day to day life of the Finance Bank Chairman.

Recently, an officer, Mr. Kataka from the Zambia Police Headquarters visited the office Dr. Rajan Mahtani to call him for an interview at the police headquarter. However, Dr. Mahtani was abroad and the personnel asked the police officer to leave his phone number so that he can be contacted later.

The incident took place on May 14, 2015 and on the same day Zambia Reports published this news within minutes under the title ‘Mahtani Flees Zambia After Call from Police’. Though Dr. Rajan Mahtani immediately called up Mr. Kataka as soon as he was made aware of the news and promised him to visit the police headquarters as soon as he reaches Zambia.

The whole incident was kept confidential and the only parties who were involved in this conversation were Dr. Rajan Mahtani and Mr. Kataka. So, the question which remains unanswered is whether Zambia Reports spying on Dr. Rajan Mahtani? Are the calls of Dr. Rajan Mahtani being tapped by the spies of Zambia Reports?

Bishop Mambo, board member of the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory has expressed his own view on the prevailing conflict. The ZPC has been under the conflict of ownership for the past few months and the contestants are the Ventriglias family, a minority shareholder with a stake of 42% and Finsbury Investments, stake of 58%.

The Ventriglia family played a game with the political parties which ensured that their deportation gets lifted and they are once again able to dominate the ZPC with utmost harshness and corruption. A glimpse of their true nature was caught on May 1, 2015 when they denied the salary of more than 700 employees in the ZPC and asked them to recover the same from Dr. Rajan Mahtani.

Bishop Mambo believes that with the intervention of political parties, the Ventriglias have managed to get back into ZPC and since then, the employees of the ZPC have suffered. After denying the salary for the past month, the Ventriglias have come up with a new plan to impress the locals and the workers of the ZPC. They have announced that they will offer an increment of 10% in the basic salary of the employees. However, the question which remains to be answered is whether the salary for the month of May will be offered to the workers or not?

Nyasa Times, a famous news portal in Malawi has suddenly joined the defamation campaign against the Finance Bank Chairman, Dr. Rajan Mahtani. A recent publication under the Nyasa Times tried to create a rift between Finance Bank of Zambia and the locals in Malawi by stating that the bank was never safe. The article also asked the investors to withdraw their existing savings from the bank as it may be snatched from them later on.

In response to such actions, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has hired professional services from Mvalo and Company and has sued Nyasa Times for publishing such rumors. Nyasa Times had started targeting Dr. Mahtani from the moment he had placed a proposal to re-open Finance Bank in Malawi. Issues such as opening ghost bank accounts, malpractices, corruption charges and criminal activities were clearly mentioned under the name of Dr. Mahtani and one of the published articles went on to the extent of asking the Government of Malawi about its decision, the article was titled as “Is Govt serious to allow Finance Bank to re-open in Malawi?”.

Though Nyasa Times doesn’t have any verified evidence to support its claim, it has tried its level best to instigate the people of Malawi to go against the Finance Bank. They have also published an article where they have written that Dr. Rajan Mahtani has demanded US $ 1 million from them as compensation for defamation. However, the same has not been confirmed yet.

Zambia Reports is often in the headlines for their innovative and imaginative stories through which they unsettle the prevailing harmony in Zambia and the rest of Africa. This time around, they have mocked themselves by introducing a fresh story where they intended to present a partnership between Chellah and Dr. Rajan Mahtani.

An article by Zambia Reports published that Chellah had availed the services of Radisson Blu and had K120, 000 due to his name as a bill. However, Chellah was unable to pay them and took the help of Dr. Rajan Mahtani, the owner of Radisson Blu to settle the claim. The story was created with an intent to show a partnership between Chellah and Dr. Mahtani such that the latter can be convicted of being a part of the cartel. However, in their quest to create one of the best imaginative stories, they forgot about their previous articles.

One of the articles in Zambia Reports states that Chellah has collected a fortune from Zambia and now owns properties in South Africa and United Kingdom. For a person who owns properties at international venues, it is not difficult for him to meet an ordinary hotel bill. Moreover, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has always kept himself aloof from political affairs and hence, it is useless to drag him in matters where political interest of Zambia is present. Zambia Reports has mocked itself on this occasion and a reason for this shame is their habit of writing false arguments and then forgetting them later on.
